Data Warehouse Manager Marketing Technology (m/f/x)

Our Marketing Technology team provides technical foundations for New-Work's data-driven Marketing activities and products. We are the connecting link between Business and Technology departments and always strive to improve the value for our members and customers within the fields we work on.

We closely collaborate with a variety of stakeholders across the company, such as Product, Marketing and Analytics teams. For these departments we build and maintain in-house services as well as owning external services for our stakeholders. To name a few: We're technically responsible for marketing automation, tag management, tracking, audience management and targeting. And in addition to pure technical topics, we are also involved in business related initiatives like attribution modelling and consult teams from our technical perspective.

We're currently looking for a Data Warehouse Manager Marketing Technology (m/f/x) who likes to own and develop our customer database for Marketing. For that we deliberately offer room for innovation and experiments and encourage our team members to focus on their strengths and the subjects they really like to work on. So if you want to move things rather than just maintain, and if you like supporting others and also learning from them, you will have lots of fun in our team! You can look forward to:

  • Manage, provide and continuously develop the data required for our digital marketing activities.
  • Act as link between our marketing departments and technical teams like Business Intelligence or Data Science.
  • Identify new requirements and bring them successfully into implementation.
  • Continuously develop the existing extensive database and thus enable innovative campaign approaches for customer marketing.
  • Review and develop the underlying data architecture to meet the growing demands of our business.
  • Ensure that required data is made available daily in a consistent high quality.
  • Learn about and use technologies like Scala, Python, Kafka and Hadoop technologies such as Hive and Spark.
  • Observe current trends and new developments in the data and marketing technology world.

What we are looking for:

  • You have a degree in Computer Science or equivalent Software Engineering experience.
  • In addition you have gained at least 2 years of practical experience in a Data Warehouse role or in similar fields like Business Intelligence or Data Engineering.
  • Excellent understanding of data structures, relational databases and Information Architecture.
  • Solid know-how in working with SQL databases and conducting DWH queries (e.g. Exasol or BigQuery).
  • Experience with marketing tools like Braze, CrossEngage or HubSpot would be a plus.
  • You had first experiences with data integration tools (e.g. Apache Airflow, Talend, Pentaho Data Integration).
  • Experience with data visualisation and reporting tools (e.g. Tableau or Adobe Analytics).
  • You are a team-player who likes to engage with your stakeholders and loves to take the lead for your topics.
  • You have very good communication skills combined with fluency in English (proficiency in German is a plus).
