What do you value most in your working life?

Very simple! I value these three things the most: the working atmosphere, the flat hierarchies, and the family-friendliness. 

As Senior Sales Manager, you are responsible for "New Business" - what fascinates you most about this area?

For me, it’s always a sense of achievement when I am able to win new customers who start with XING Business Solutions. The main focus here is on consulting and personal contact! Depending on the customer's initial situation, it's fun to find individual solutions and show them new ways and possibilities. 

How would you describe the working atmosphere in the company and in your team? 

The working atmosphere is relaxed and amicable. You always have the opportunity to organize your own day. The goals are ambitious, but that's what motivates you immensely! And with the support of the Team Lead, you can always develop and apply new strategies and approaches.

What are things you encounter again and again in your Day to Day Work Life?

Flat hierarchies and uncomplicated communication processes! In addition, you always have the opportunity to work at the office, but also to work in the home office. I like to come to the office almost every day, because I need the direct exchange with my colleagues - this often leads to exciting conversations and new ideas. 

What is the best thing about a job in Sales?

Particularly when I compare my current position at XING with my previous job - in which I didn't have any performance-based pay - the best thing about a job in sales is that my personal successes are directly reflected in my salary. It's great to celebrate successes as a team! Shared offsites and celebrations round things off, of course. 

2021, NEW WORK SE has moved into a new office in Vienna. What do you like best about it?

The central location directly at the Schottentor is simply ideal! The building itself is historically relevant and very impressive. It's a pleasure to go into a historic building where this history and modernity meet - for example, through the interior design and the two sun terraces, which invite you to relax or work. 

In your time as Senior Sales Manager so far, what event has stayed in your memory in a particularly positive way?

So far, my best experience was the Kick Off in Valencia a few years ago! It was great to see all the colleagues from the different locations pulling together! That was really empowering. 

It's a common cliché that a job in sales is the same no matter where you work - how do you feel about this statement?

Can I make the world better for my customers with the solutions I offer? Do I have choices in how I structure my workday? Do I get all the important information quickly? Am I surrounded by motivated colleagues? Do the products continue to evolve so that I can learn new things all the time? I can answer yes to all these questions at New Work SE, and that makes all the difference to me! 

What was the application process like for you?

I was approached directly on the XING network, even though I had no previous experience in the HR industry. The application process was multi-step and professional to ensure a good fit between me and the company.

What advice would you like to give to readers who are currently looking for a job in sales?

What motivates you personally in sales and why do you always want to approach customers to present solutions and products? Can you identify with the vision and mission of your future employer?
