(Senior) Experimentation Analyst – A/B Testing- Applied sciences (m/f/x)

You love using experiments and analysis to improve products, user experience and drive success? Then come join us! Together with your team of analysts, you will be the Center of Excellence and operational go-to-point for Experiments and A/B-testing as well as spearhead of driving Experimentation culture for NEW WORK. Also, you and your team support our product teams with dashboards and analysis to measure performance and make NEW WORK products even more attractive for our customers.

A challenging task:

  • XING and it’s mother company New Work SE have been conducting A/B-Tests for years in a lot of different ways.
  • In a cross-company initiative, we started to improve and standardise A/B-Testing and lift it to the next level.
  • The Digital Analytics Teams play a central part in that initiative, especially in providing tooling, automation and best practices.
  • We developed our Experiments Engine, together with a small dedicated team and want to develop it further (e.g. more automation, better handling, etc).
  • Our main stakeholders are Business Analysts, Developers and Product teams.
  • Together with your colleague, you will be the “Data and Validity Guardian” of Experimentation, mostly not analyzing experiments yourself but providing tools and methodology.

Specifically, you will:

  • Support, consult and educate Analysts and Product teams in setting up, measuring and analysing experiments correctly using our Experimentation Engine.
  • Work together cross-BU with the Business Analytics teams to determine standard use cases and relevant methods for experimentation analysis.
  • Implement these standards into the Experiment Engine and a test script library.
  • Educate and consult Analysts & Developers.
  • Automation also means supporting the implementation and maintenance of standard tracking SDKs and tracking points for the Engine.
  • Take an active part in forming a lively Experimentation Community at XING.

A convincing background:

  • You are extremely comfortable with data and have a proven ability to leverage analytics and quantitative methods to inform and influence decision-making, including sound knowledge in experimentation statistics.
  • You have a good working knowledge of statistical programming, e.g. in Python or R, and you are proficient in or willing to learn SQL.
  • You have strong analytics skills, think ahead, manage high complexity and have a sound understanding of business needs and drivers.
  • You are a strong team player and communicate well.
  • You find a good balance between methodological rigour and pragmatism.
  • You are no stranger to internet standards & technologies or are interested in learning about them.

Your qualifications:

  • A relevant degree, e.g. science, computer science, psychology, statistics.
  • Proven track record in experiment analysis, data science or similar.
  • Good methodological knowledge and skills: statistical test procedures, experiment design, data (pre-)processing, error correction, sample size estimation.
  • Experience with experimentation software (e.g. Optimizely or Adobe Target) and analytics software (e.g. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) is beneficial.
  • English is a must, good German a strong plus!
