Working Student (m/f/x) Engineering

As a working student (m/f/x) for XING E-Recruiting, you will be working in cross-teams projects. You will be supporting the CTO teams by their quest to establish a more data driven engineering eco-system. Your work will contribute to the success and development of Xing E-Recruitting.

A challenging task

  • You will be supporting our friendly and innovative team with their day-to-day work, as well as overarching projects.
  • You will connect APIs, build and maintain backend applications as well as internal admin user interfaces using Ruby, Python.
  • You will help in establishing internal engineering data lakes, building clean data models as a foundation to build a tech data warehouse.
  • Creating automated reports and managing them will be part of your duties.

A convincing background

  • You are currently doing your Bachelor's or Master's study in the areas of Economics, Maths, Informatics, Data Science or equivalent study with a quantitative focus.
  • You have a high level of analytical skills, cross-linked way of thinking and acting, conceptual skills, as well as quick perception. A structured mindset is one of your strengths.
  • Knowledge in Python and/or Ruby.
  • You have some experience with REST, SQL and big data, scheduling and ETL processes.
  • Having some fundamentals of web development with HTML, CSS and JavaScript is a plus.
  • You know the basics of version control (e.g. Git, SVN).
  • When you have good communication skills in German as well as English then we will be happy to receive your application.
  • You are interested to work with us for at least one year and can work for 15 to 20 hours per week.
