The VP Marketing & Communication (m/f/d) is central to that ambition and acts at the intersection of Brand, Marketing, Product and Communication being an advocate for user and brand centric thinking in the organization.

The role drives XING’s Marketing & Communication across all user touchpoints complementing our product platform. This includes marketing, user and performance marketing, social media, as well as influencer and community management and user care. You are responsible for leading, designing and executing the XING marketing strategy and are responsible for the respective budget. You lead and develop the interdisciplinary teams to drive user centricity and visionary communication.

The role collaborates closely with Product, UX, as well as our XING editorial team, corporate Brand Strategy and PR departments. The VP Marketing & Communication (m/f/d) reports directly to the New Work Chief Product Officer (CPO) and manages the teams through the Heads of Marketing, User Care & Communication. The role is part of XING’s Leadership Team, together with the Product, UX and Engineering Heads.

  • Develop overall Marketing and Communication Strategy for XING
  • Collaborate with corporate Brand Strategy in evolution of brand strategy for XING
  • Lead a team of leaders, heading the Marketing, User Care and Communications departments
  • Guide active management of the brand experience and performance across all marketing, social media, community, influencer and inbound user care touchpoints
  • Achieve significant growth in NPS, platform engagement and revenue
  • Energize the broader XING organization towards brand and user obsession
  • Ensure marketing & communications team is aligned with key stakeholders, especially product, UX and editorial teams, as well as Corporate Communication teams to achieve a consistent messaging and storytelling in front of the user
  • Plan, manage and report an overall double-digit Mio. budget

  • You have at least 10 years of experience in a similar leading position with focus on the DACH market.
  • You are well-skilled in leading leaders
  • You have successfully built strong digital consumer brands
  • You are an expert in and driver of consumer centricity
  • You are well connected in the DACH media and digital influencer landscape
  • You are a dynamic and self-driven strategic thinker with a creative mindset, adept at data- and insights-driven problem solving, courageous to take bold decisions, visionary to identify new paths
  • You are a master in building and maintaining collaborative relationships across functions in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
  • You can demonstrate accomplishments in managing a wide range of marketing and communications related activities, preferably within an agile, entrepreneurial, high-growth environment
  • You are fluent in German and English
