Hamburg / Munich, 19 November 2013 – New name, new alignment: From now on, amiando, Europe’s leading online event management and ticketing provider, is to be known as XING EVENTS. Around three years ago, Munich-based amiando was acquired by XING AG, operator of the online business network called XING. From now on, XING EVENTS will continue its established core business of online ticketing and will also advertise and present business events on XING. Members now also have access to intelligent advanced features that make it easy for them to find events matching their needs and attended by interesting people. Event matching is based on members’ profile entries and their personal networks. This rebranding goes hand in hand with a new logo and redesign of the www.xing-events.com website. This clear and modern design provides organizers and event guests with simple and efficient usability.

Intelligent advanced features: XING EVENTS brings people together at suitable events based on their network

The intelligent advanced XING EVENTS features will include personalised event recommendations sent to members that are based on their network and profile entries. XING EVENTS will also make guest lists clearer than ever before as they not only point out any contacts that will be attending the same event, they will also show attendees who are worth meeting. This gives our members access to a quicker way to find relevant and suitable events from the long list of events organised on XING.

Now with high-quality partner services: Integrata first XING EVENTS partner

Integrata AG, the leading independent full service provider for training services in Germany, is now the first major XING EVENTS partner whose events will be prominently placed on the platform. Out soon on mobile: All events to be accessible from smartphone app for iOS and Android

At the same time as the rebranding, XING EVENTS is introducing a new smartphone app for iOS and Android that allows users to search and browse any events organised on XING EVENTS. The app also suggests events and guests that match the user’s profile. The new app also presents users with local events and events that their contacts will be attending. The app also has various interaction options such as sending and receiving messages and contact requests. The free XING EVENTS app will be available in the Apple App Store soon, and is also scheduled for release in the Google Play Store at the end of this year. About XING
