Hamburg, 29 October 2013 – XING is reinventing its Premium membership to mark its 10th birthday. From now on, Premium members will benefit from a whole new product experience as well as new features and special offers. The New Premium means that Premium members don’t just see who visited their profile, they also see when and how often the person visited and how they found them. Thanks to the various options available, the New Premium helps members to portray a professional image of themselves and optimise their networking behaviour. Premium members now benefit from being found easier and faster, and XING will also offer paid members a number of special third-party offers that help them in their daily work. XING’s more than 800,000 Premium members will all be gradually switched over to the New Premium at their current rates.

Moritz Kothe, Senior Vice President Premium Memberships at XING AG, said: “The New Premium is the step we have taken to improve and, in part, reinvent everything that’s important to our Premium members. We now offer Premium members a whole new product experience full of new opportunities both on the XING platform and in terms of their daily work.”

The highly popular profile visitors section has been expanded so Premium members now not only see who visited their profile, they also see when and how often the person visited as well as the search terms used to find them. On top of that, Premium members also see where the majority of their profile visitors work, i.e. companies and industries, as this can help them to tailor their profile to make it even easier for such people to find them. This is the first time that Premium members are able to see profile visitor activity such as who visited their portfolio to find out more about their professional identity. Recruiters are listed separately, which is of particular benefit to jobseekers and people looking to switch jobs.

The “Premium overview” is a hub where Premium members can find all of the main Premium features and perks. The overview is a great way for Premium members to strategically build their contact network and view the latest most relevant updates such as recent profile visitors, contact updates and posts, and Premium membership tips. The “Find members” section provides Premium members with a number of different criteria and search filters such as shared contacts or interests so they can focus on new contacts who may be beneficial to their personal network. Premium members can also see which XING members want what they have, or if anyone else on XING has a profile similar to their own.

Thomas Vollmoeller, CEO at XING AG, said: “The various facets of the working world are changing thanks to networking, more flexible career paths and lifestyles, and new communication channels. XING’s New Premium helps people to master today’s challenges by supporting Premium members both on and beyond the scope of our platform and providing them with special perks and offers to help them with their daily work. One of the first steps in this process will involve free access to flexible co-working spaces and training offers.”

In the near future, the New Premium will offer Premium members free access to XING workspaces at locations provided by our partner by Design Offices. This means that Premium members can drop in to various locations around Germany at any time and use a XING-look workspace complete with free Wi-Fi and power outlets. On top of that, Premium members will also be granted free access to the entire non-fiction library of Blinkist, an educational app that provides excerpts that are optimized for use with mobile devices. More and more perks and offers will be rolled out over the coming months with the aim of supporting Premium members in their daily work wherever possible.

Prices will remain unchanged for existing customers, while new customers will continue to pay €7.95 a month for a 12-month contract and €9.95 a month for a 3-month contract. A limited beta phase was launched in September 2013 which gave invited users an opportunity to test drive an enhanced version of the  Premium membership.
In order to mark its 10th birthday, XING is giving all of its basic members the opportunity to try out the New Premium free of charge for a limited period. During the month of November, XING will also roll out a number of other birthday surprises for its more than 13 million members.
