Interview

Hi Bárbara, tell us ...

...how you got into recruiting?

I started in HR organizing trainings for internal employees at another company. Some years later, I started to feel the need to do something different within HR, so I went back to the university to study Human Resource Management and Development since I had initially studied psychology. As soon as I finished it, I was luckly enough to find my first job in recruiting by working as a sourcer. Just some months later, I got the chance to join New Work as a Talent Acquisition Specialist. And here I am 2 years later.

What do you like the most about working at the New Work Group?

I like the flexibility which gives me the opportunity to manage my professional and personal life in a positive way. Furthermore, here I have the chance to try out new things and to work in meaningful projects. As a cherry on top, I work with a great team spread by several locations.

What do you enjoy if you are not at work?

I love to travel. Get to know different places, differentes cultures and also different gastronomics. Beside that, I also like to run and spend time with my family, my friends and my two dogs: Caco and Kika.

What would you say to someone looking for advise on preparing for an interview with you?

I would recommend to make some research on the company and come prepared with some questions to ask during the interview about the company, the position and/or the team. Additionally, it's important to be prepared to discuss the professional experience and highlight significant accomplishments.

What is the best thing that has happened to you at the New Work Group so far?

The highlights of my time at New Work so far have been the opportunities to learn and grow. The chance to work as a recruiter and be part of the recruitment processes from the beginning until the end; but also the chance to change my role as a recruiter within the company have been incredibly significant to me. These experiences have given me new perspectives and the ability to adapt to the ever-changing environment at New Work.

Do you have any tips for people who are interested to work for the New Work Group?
