  • New clients: More than 3,000 clients use the XTM; every second DAX-30 company uses the tool to recruit new employees.

Hamburg / Cologne, September 17th, 2013 – Germany burdened by a lack of business professionals: According to a current ICR study, more than 90 percent of companies struggle to fill open positions. On average, every unfilled position results in a loss of EUR 60,000 for the affected company. According to the German Institute for Employment Research, there were 950,000 unfilled positions at the beginning of the year. Traditional placement of job advertisements is particularly inadequate when it comes to reaching highly-qualified professionals. The solution to this problem is known as 'active sourcing', which involves actively locating and approaching candidates. XING, the leading online network for business professionals in the German-speaking territory, offers companies the XING Talent Manager (XTM) that allows them to locate and approach candidates directly. The tool offers HR professionals an advanced search featuring special filters and handy tools for managing candidate profiles. XING will be presenting a thoroughly revised version of the successful product at the 2013 HRM Expo. The new XING Talent Manager will therefore not only offer a modern, intuitive design, but also a wealth of new, innovative functions.

The new XING Talent Manager finds the candidates that best suit a company
In the future, only a few steps will be needed in order to find the right candidates: HR professionals simply upload the description for the open position in Word or PDF to the XTM; it is then promptly read by the system and a project folder is created. The XTM then suggests suitable candidates from the largest talent pool of professionals in the German-speaking territory with more than 6.5 million XING members. These candidates can then be saved to the folder for further management. This makes active sourcing with XING even more convenient for companies. Also new to the XTM: HR professionals are granted exclusive access to salary expectations and desired work places of current job seekers.

Thomas Vollmoeller, CEO of XING AG: "Today, companies are often only able to reach professionals by approaching them directly. The new XING Talent Manager allows any company to find and approach professionals using our platform in a quick and uncomplicated manner – without having to hire costly external service providers."

Showcase partner Deutsche Telekom describes the benefits of using the XTM
A current survey of HR consultants, which XING AG commissioned forsa with, confirms that today, business professionals are generally more likely to be placed in new positions after having been approached directly compared to ten years ago. This makes active sourcing on XING all the more attractive: Over 3,000 users have already decided to use the XTM; it is also the tool of choice for one in two DAX-30 companies. Deutsche Telekom AG began using XING's solution for HR matters early on. Its HR department started using the XTM at the beginning of the year. It has now become an integral part of Deutsche Telekom's HR work. The Bonn-based company has charted its experiences with the tool over the past months. The XTM has significantly increased the efficiency of recruiting workflows and processes while also saving time. In comparison, a brief report from the German Institute for Employment Research states that companies in the old German states took an average of 126 days to successfully recruit an academic. With the XTM, Deutsche Telekom managed to fill openings for highly-qualified professionals four times faster. The company now spends a mere fifth of the budget normally allocated for job advertisements and external HR consultants.
