XING SE to become New Work SE

Hamburg, 11 February 2019 - XING SE, operator of the leading online business network in German-speaking countries, is planning to change its name to New Work SE. The Executive Board and Supervisory Board agreed on this change last year, with the proposal to be put forward for approval at this year’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held at the beginning of June. The reason for the change of name is the fact that for several years now, the company has been pursuing its vision, for a better working life. To this end, XING SE organises the New Work Experience (NWX), a leading event all about the future of work, every year which is now held at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg. XING SE offers a wide range of products and services to help customers work in ways that suit their personal way of life. The well-known product brands XING, kununu, InterNations and Prescreen will remain in place after the name change, meaning that members and users will not see any change to their products and services. We help our members benefit from the sweeping changes taking place on the German-speaking labour market. We help them to work how they want to, in ways that suit their personal way of life. Our New Work Experience event serves as a platform for discussing an increasingly important topic, the future of work. As such New Work acts as a guiding principle for everything we do as a company. By changing our name, we intend to ensure that all of our business activities come under the umbrella of New Work.” New Work product portfolio for a better working life The many products that XING and its subsidiaries provide already contribute to New Work with kununu, for example, enabling employees to rate and review employers, in turn fostering transparency on the labour market. XING Jobs offers members the opportunity to look for vacancies based on New Work criteria such as flexible working hours, options to work from home or bring their dog to the office. Vacancies listed in XING Jobs offer salary ranges so prospective applicants know what they can expect to earn if they apply. This in turn enables applicants and employees to negotiate salaries with employers on an equal footing. Thomas Vollmoeller added the following: “We believe that work should no longer be a chore and a tedious aspect of life. Instead, it should be an important part of life that people are happy to identify with. XING brand to remain in place The planned renaming of the company is subject to approval by shareholders at this year’s AGM to be held on 6 June. Following this approval, New Work SE will be entered into the commercial register as the company’s new name and umbrella for all of the company’s activities in pursuit of the for a better working life vision. Widely recognised, XING will remain the central product brand, with the kununu, Prescreen and InterNations brands also being retained.
